Coming to the End

I have the tiny room finished and worked on the frame today. I glued the glass into the frame and will clean it up when it is dry tomorrow. Then I will clean the glass and glue the frame to the little room. I will give it to my friend Sunday-I want to make sure every thing is glued together and dry. I will post the final pictures tomorrow.

Home Stretch

The ruffles on the crib stuck out so I had to cut a piece of foam core for the front and the two sides to glue it to the inside of the ruffle to make it not stick out-I used Fabric-tac.
Here, I am glueing the fabric to the styrofoam. I had to use Grrrip because the Fabric-tac MELTED the styrofoam.

The far right picture is of the crib mobile. My friend had a weiner dog named Rusty who was very special to her. The box with the board on the wall is where I drilled holes to wire the crib to. I do not want it to move.

The framed group photo is of all of Nancy's family. Her daughter emailed it to me and I altered it in my Publisher program. I could not believe the frame fit the first try.
I am getting close to finishing the little box and can not wait to give it to her.

The Ruffle is Officially Finished

Hip Hip Hurrah
The dust ruffle on the bed is done. It should not take long to finish everything off, hopefully.
I will post again in a couple of days.

PS-I glued the cloth ruffle to the bed with Grrrip glue-it is great stuff.

Back on Track

I took a class this week-end from Shelia Kinard on dressing a crib. The top row is for that crib, and the mint green is for the skirt for Nancy's doll bed. She had a nifty way of dressing a bed. After I pinned the material I sprayed it with Patricia Nimocks Matte spray to permanantly stiffen it. Oh my gosh does it stink!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to work on it tomorrow and post again tomorrow.

Baseboard and Ceiling Trim

I am again working on Nancy's box. The back will pull out so the base and ceiling boards are not connected to each other. If you squint your eyes you can see the bear at the ceiling on the right. Too, cute. I wanted to start on the picture frame front, but I can not find the other half of the frame. I was sooo careful to put all the pieces to this project in a shoe box. Now, I can not finish the box untill I find the other half of the frame. There are other thing to do for the inside of the box. I will work on those things and LOOK for the frame half.

Slow Going

On the left is the floor. On the right is the back. I am really putting this together at a snails pace. I will work on it more tonight. Every step has to dry-that is why it is taking so long.
Will post tomorrow.

On Your Mark, Get Set, GO

I have a friend that has been through all my life events. She was at
my house one day and said she liked a miniature baby bed I had. So, I have been gathering things for a while to make this baby bed vignette. It is time to begin. Today I put in the floor. It needs to be stained-hopefully I will do that tomorrow. I hope to get it all done in two weeks. A record for me.
